Suit up: Why you should bring the bodysuit back into rotation

This season, we’re circling back to the bodysuit. Why, you ask?

Perhaps it’s the effect of summer south of the equator and the 35 degree days that insist on a ensemble that says ‘minimalist’. Or maybe it’s in anticipation of the Commonwealth Games just down the road from Outland Denim HQ.

It’s even possible that US gymnast Simone Biles, styled in an emerald Gucci bodysuit, is sending subliminal ‘go-the-leo’ messages as we spot her on the latest cover of The Gentlewoman currently placed within peripheral vision at the end of the desk.

Whatever the inspiration, and despite being the jewel in the crown that is 80s costume cliches, the iconic leo has earned a soft spot in our hearts this season... styled with our Outland Denims (duh).

With its figure-hugging silhouette, the bodysuit compliments by contrasting the relaxed fit of our Lucy jean.

Lean into the vintage vibes with the vintage wash, relaxed-leg Lucy True Blue. Pair this high-waisted answer to the classic ‘mum jean’ with a v-neck leo. If there’s a chance taking a dip could sneak into the schedule, the Lucy Light jean plays well with fellow ethical Australian label NICO’s spaghetti strapped Swim One Piece in Navy.

Tag @outlanddenim on socials to share your leo x denim strategy, or top off your look by shopping the Lucy jean here.
